Nothing ever happens without internal or external motion. The Action Complex was originally developed as a set of tools to overcome resistance to effort.
You will find, however, that the Action Complex is also a powerful supplement to the mind / body connection, which is the area that this segment addresses.
It consists of seven types of preliminary activity to grease the skids for internal or external action. The names sound funny but there is method to the labels. Each contains the word “action” preceded by the letter of the preliminary activity.
For example, one of the components is called “Daction”, which stands for Directions Plus Action. It is based on the fact that you have been conditioned to follow orders all your life and probably still are. Orders from your parents and teachers and employers and government and so on. Also, you have been giving orders - to your children, to your fellow workers or employees, and so on.
The key to Daction is to give mental orders to yourself, but not just generalized directives. They have to be incremental ones, specifically related to the step-by-step process of the action you want to take or the state you want to put yourself in, then to immediately comply, one after the other, until you attain what you want or reach your natural pace and rhythm.
One of the reasons it works so well is that it eliminates distraction and the intrusion of random thoughts. It focuses you on whatever you want to do or think.
The other six components of the Action Complex involve different activities that produce similar results. One of them uses stepped visualization. Others use different types of breathing, fast types of meditation, auditory internal anchors, post-trance suggestions, and so on.
